This report presents key human mobility trends associated with climate change and disasters in Latin America, and provides an overview of the inter-American human rights and humanitarian law system applicable in that context. The report also presents recommendations for action at the research, policy and operational levels to be implemented in the region. The full report is published in Spanish, with an executive summary available in English.

The report was produced by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in cooperation with the Centro Andino de Estudios Internacionales - Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (CAEI-UASB), the South American Network for Environmental Migration (RESAMA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Centro de Investigación de Políticas Públicas y Territorio (CITE-FLACSO).
