The Hazus Conference, sponsored by FEMA Mitigation Division is the premier risk assessment conference for GIS specialists, emergency managers, geologists, state/local planners, educators and private entities that are using Hazus for decision-making and response planning. This year’s conference will include two and a half days of educational sessions, hands-on training, and one-of-a-kind networking opportunities. The conference promises to be an excellent one-stop learning experience for Hazus Users at all levels.

According to FEMA Regional Administrator Ken Murphy, Hazus is a multi-hazard risk assessment software tool that combines science, engineering, mathematical modeling and GIS technology to estimate potential loss of life and property damage from natural hazards.
