Coastal Dynamics 2009 will be the sixth in a sequence of technical speciality conferences. The theme of the conference is 'Impacts of human activity on dynamic coastal processes'.

Topics will include:
- Coastal hydrodynamics
- Coastal sediment transport
- Coastal morphodynamics
- Coastal hydro-meteorology (waves, currents, tides, tsunami, etc.)
- Coastal environmental problems and marine ecology
- Observational techniques and results (field and lab)
- Numerical simulation (models and results)
- Miscellaneous coastal dynamics
