Panel discussions, film presentations, and exhibitions will be held in Kobe over a two-session symposium on the sub-topics of environment and gender, with experts from three Community Based Disaster Management (CBDM) project countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka) and around the world.

In this symposium, current status and past lessons on disaster management, environment, and gender in community based disaster management will be presented.
