This conference will be accompanied by a set of field trips and workshops on the TIEMS TQCTM & TQACTM International Certification and the emergency management/disaster risk management of the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa.

The conference will be hosted by the TIEMS South Africa Chapter and and in collaboration with the , Slovakia;, Budapest, Hungary.

South African professional organizations will also be supporting the conference, such as the North-West Umbrella Fire Protection Association.

The main topic of the 2023 Annual TIEMS Conference is Crises, Emergencies and Disasters – a Continuum of Challenges and Opportunities in the 21st Century.
