Bahrain adopts global initiative to confront natural hazards

Foreign Minister, Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain will sponsor the UN Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction (2009), an international accord to coordinate world effort on disaster risk reduction. A contribution of one million US dollars was made by the Kingdom, for the report to be finalized and launched.
