'China needs more efficient channel for issuing natural hazards warnings' - official

"Coordination among different sectors is crucial in releasing early warnings," said Zheng Guoguang, head of the China Meteorological Administration at a press conference today. He stated that it takes eight hours to reach all of the country's mobile phone users and that 85 percent of the population presently has access to early warning information.
