Grenada: Health workers sharpen their skills in health disaster management

A Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) run workshop was held this week in Grenada, as part of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funded project to mainstream health disaster risk reduction in the health sector of the Caribbean Community Member States (CARICOM), reports the Barnacle.

The importance of assessing and understanding disaster risk was stressed by the facilitators, as well as the nature and scope of the disaster, prior to the response process.
