Japan PM markets quake early warning system to Chile
The Mainichi Daily News reports that Japan and Chile has agreed to strengthen cooperation on disaster preparedness, with Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda marketing an earthquake early warning system using the Asian country's technology. Noda further insured Chilean President Sebastian Pinera that Japan stands ready to provide further assistance for the South American country's disaster management. Their discussion also prospected enhanced cooperation in other domains, such as power technologies, new trade zone, etc.
