IDRC has launched a call for submissions of joint concept notes for the establishment of research consortia under the Collaborative Adaptation Research Initiative in Africa and Asia (CARIAA). CARIAA is a seven-year research program jointly funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) and IDRC.

CARIAA's goal is to develop robust evidence to inform how to increase the resilience of the poorest and most vulnerable populations in three climate change hot spots in Africa and Asia:

- Semi-arid regions
- Deltas of South Asia and Africa
- Glacier and snowpack dependent river basins

For information on the call, eligibility requirements, and how to apply, consult the competition page.
