Prensa Latina reports that Nicaragua will collaborate more with Russia in order to prevent and mitigate disasters, announced the Coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council, Rosario Murillo. This was part of agreements signed during the latest round of the joint bilateral commission recently held in Moscow. "Nicaragua is a highly seismic territory and we have to be ready to face such a contingency or others like heavy rain and out-of-season drought caused by climate change," noted Murillo.
