UK Energy Secretary Ed Davey has announced in Doha at the 18th Conference of Parties to the UNFCCC that Britain would give 1.8 billion pounds ($2.9 billion) as climate aid to developing nations in 2013. The funds will help poorer countries to curb emissions and adapt to climate change effects, reports Bloomerg Businessweek. Japan is the biggest donor of the past three years with $17.4 billion fast-start finance.
