User needs gathering survey for Copernicus Emergency Management Service
Copernicus is the European Union (EC) programme for Earth observation and monitoring. It provides users with reliable and up-to-date information through a set of services related to environmental and security issues. It consists of a complex system which collects data from multiple sources: earth observation satellites and in situ sensors.
The European Commission has the overall responsibility for gathering user requirements for the next generation of the Copernicus Space Component and delivering to ESA a User Requirements document by mid-2017. To this end, the NEXTSPACE consortium (GMV, SpaceTec Partners, Noveltis), entrusted by the EC, has initiated several actions aimed at reaching Copernicus existing and potential users in order to listen to them and collect their needs/requirements. In this context, an aimed at gathering user needs and requirements in the domain of Emergency Management is now available. The questionnaire takes about 10 minutes to complete.
