This report summarizes the key discussions, outputs and decisions generated from the first Information and Knowledge Management for Disaster Risk Reduction (IKM4DRR) workshop. Overall, the workshop aimed to strengthen the information and knowledge management capacity among national, regional and thematic stakeholders; facilitate knowledge sharing and increase collaboration among professionals and existing projects and portals; strengthen a global IKM4DRR community and confirm its roles and responsibilities in support of information and knowledge management for disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA).

The key outputs include an IKM4DRR Framework, its corresponding IKM4DRR Scorecard, and an IKM4DRR Action Plan. The main goal of the Action Plan is to advance IKM4DRR in the post-HFA (HFA2) discussions.

The Workshop was held as a consultation day event at the Fourth Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (19-24 May 2013) in Geneva, Switzerland.
