This briefing paper outlines CARE’s recommendations for promoting gender-equitable and sustainable development in the face of climate change for the ongoing 2015 policy processes, including the Sustainable Development Goals, the UNFCCC negotiations, and the post-2015 disaster risk reduction framework.

It also advocates for the targets and indicators for monitoring and accountability of these three policy frameworks, and their domestic implementation, to address socioeconomic and diverse dimensions of risk, with the collection and reporting of sex-, gender- and age- disaggregated data throughout the activities implemented.
