Adapting to climate change: UK climate projections
This report explains the key findings and potential uses of the UK Climate Projections. The UK Government has also established the Adapting to Climate Change Programme. This report therefore provides an update on the Government’s Adapting to Climate Change (ACC) Programme since this was last reported on in July 2008 in ‘Adapting to Climate Change in England: a framework for action’. This report describe the five elements for action: Protecting the public from immediate risk including through increased flood protection, coastal erosion management, efficient use of water and health contingency plans; Preparing for the future; Securing a global deal in Copenhagen in December; Creating a low carbon UK and finally supporting individuals and businesses to play their part.
