Every year the Allianz Risk Barometer identifies the most important risks for companies for the next 12 months and beyond.

The 2021 edition is based on the insight of more than 2,700 risk management experts from 90+ countries and territories. Business interruption ranks #1 while natural catastrophes and climate change are both in the top 10 perils.

Business continuity planning in the wake of catastrophes needs to become more holistic, cross-functional, and dynamic, monitor and measure emerging or extreme loss scenarios, be constantly updated and tested and embedded into an organization’s strategy.
