Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters

This report describes the approach and efforts taken to build resilience to the impacts of climate change and disasters within the BRACED project. The report evaluates resilience-building activities that have been undertaken thus far, such as natural resource management, local economic development and access to financial services, promoting gender equality and empowerment, using climate information for decision-making, shock-responsive service delivery and programming, and strengthening risk governance. It also reviews areas of collective learning within the BRACED partnership, while highlighting areas for further investigation.

This is a part-way report to evaluate activities and highlight learnings for the global resilience community, with plans for an updated edition in 2018 with a larger evaluation component.
