The 174th Session of the Executive Committee of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) adopted the policy to urge member states to bolster health sector capacity for adaptation and mitigation with an equity- and human rights-oriented approach. The policy also urges governments to improve the surveillance of climate change and health using an equity- and human rights-oriented approach.
