This policy brief aims specifically to provide structured guidance enriched with case studies to policy makers in Central Asia on how to analyze and integrate climate risk information in policy planning, in order to streamline adaptation efforts and minimize economic losses.

Policy planning is a highly complex exercise. In recent years, the uncertain impacts of climate change have made this task even more complex. Examples from the region and from around the world show that incorporating climate risk information into policy planning makes the process more targeted, meaningful, and robust.
