This documents presents the conclusions adopted by the Council of the European Union (EU) on supporting the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015 at the 3023rd Foreign Affairs Council meeting held in Luxembourg on 14 June 2010. It highlights the recognition by the EU of the serious threat to development posed by natural disasters and reaffirms EU's commitment to continue the implementation of its Strategy on Supporting Developing Countries in Disaster Risk Reduction as a means of achieving the MDGs.
