This brief highlights the development of digital flood evacuation planning in Vietnam, led by ISET-International (ISET) in collaboration with local government and provincial agencies. The project focused on creating detailed evacuation maps and response plans aligned with the three existing early warning system (EWS) flood alert levels.

These maps identify when evacuations should be triggered, who needs to be evacuated, and where they should go. Special attention was given to supporting vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, pregnant women, children, and people with disabilities. The information was integrated into a disaster risk management (DRM) software system managed by the provincial government.
