Bonn climate change talks 2-13th June 2008:

This paper addresses the relevance of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change to the design and implementation of adaptation policies and measures. It advocates for climate change adaptation to build on and expand DRR, making use of the disaster risk management community’s transferable, practical experience in addressing hazards, and building on existing policy frameworks such as the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015, agreed by 168 governments in 2005.
