EU stress test: Swiss national report - ENSI review of the operator's reports
The purpose of the EU Stress Test was to analyse the security situation of all European nuclear power plants with regard to the lessons learned of Fukushima. This report presents the results for Switzerland’s participation in the EU Stress Test with respect to earthquakes, external flooding and the combination of both events, as well as the coolant supply for the safety and auxiliary systems and the spent fuel pool cooling. It shows the investigations and retro-fitting measures set in motion in the Swiss nuclear power plants, and the timeline for their implementation. It also details a number of improvement measures on the basis of the reviews conducted to date.
