This paper outline Cordaid's vision for the post-2015 agenda. Acknowledging the progress achieved under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), it notes that fragile situations such as conflicts and disasters have undermined much of the hard work of the past decades. It envisions disaster risk reduction as community resilience planning to reduce the scope and depth of disaster-related events and promote cohesion through inter-community cooperation and between communities and the local government.
