Global report on food crises - 2024
The Global Report on Food Crises is the reference document for a comprehensive analysis of global, regional and country-level acute food insecurity. The result of a collaborative effort among 16 partners, the report aims to inform humanitarian and development action by providing independent and consensus-based evidence and analysis.
The Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) 2024 confirms the enormity of the challenge of achieving the goal of ending hunger by 2030. In 2023, nearly 282 million people or 21.5 percent of the analysed population in 59 countries/territories faced high levels of acute food insecurity requiring urgent food and livelihood assistance. The report also shows that 71.9 million people living in acute food insecurity driven by weather extremes (FSIN)
