This document contains the results of a study conducted by the Permanent Secretariat of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) to explore new and better ways to promote cooperation between the private sector and the governments of Latin America and the Caribbean on issues related to the reduction of socio-natural disaster risk, a topic that will be dealt with during the “Regional Seminar on “Cooperation between governments and the private sector for disaster risk reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean: Focus, progress and challenges”.
