The Conference of the Parties decided to include in its eighth session interactive dialogue sessions with the relevant stakeholders, including ministers, nongovernmental organizations and members of parliament, on agenda items of relevance to them. This document was prepared in order to assist participants in the round table discussion which will take place on 12 September. It includes some questions that could constitute the basis of the deliberations. Participants may wish to make recommendations on practical measures and options to enhance the implementation of action programmes to combat desertification and adaptation to climate change, with a view to fostering sustainable development in affected country Parties.
