This edition of the JICA magazine focuses on Japan's experience in disaster risk reduction, with features on land use planning and construction in Brazil, the creation of a typhoon-resilient aquaculture industry in the Philippines, and flood, landslide and drought risk management in Sri Lanka.

The magazine also provides snapshots of resilient infrastructure in Thailand, Myanmar and Nepal, as well as an editorial by the Philippines' Secretary of Socioeconomic Planning, Ernesto M. Pernia.
