This case study describes the activities undertaken by the Coast Conservation Department (CCD) under the Priority Implementation Partnership (PIP) to integrate disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the approval permits of development activities along the coast. It also recommends to integrate DRR in the Costal Zone Management Plan of Sri Lanka.
