The Municipal Civil Protection Emergency Plan of the Municipality of Angra do Heroísmo is an instrument that the Municipal Civil Protection Service (Emergency Management Service) has at its disposal for triggering Civil Protection operations, defining guidelines regarding how the various entities, services and structures operate, with a view to enabling a unity of prevention, direction and control. The aim of this document is to standardize the coordination of actions to be developed and the management of mobilized logistic resources. In this way, scenarios likely to trigger a disaster or catastrophe are mentioned, defining emergency response procedures, in order to mitigate damage, loss of life and establish the recovery.
