Adaptation processes often aim at trying out new strategies for dealing with climate variabilities and change. By requiring two teams to test their ability to respond to a crisis using existing opportunities, this game can support a discussion on seeing all possible options when planning for adaptation and disaster risk management under pressure.

"Race for risk reduction" requires 12-30 participants and takes about 30-60 minutes to play. It is intended for various age groups and audiences.
