This report relates the experiences of those who survived the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami using information gathered at a workshop which included field visits and interviews with local representatives.

The report is divided into four sections: (i) section one explains the background and objectives of the report, and contains a detailed schedule of the study from February 26 to March 3, 2012; (ii) section two describes the field visits and provides the dialogue from the interviews; (iii) section three summarizes the recommendations of the experts who attended the workshops; (iv) section four concludes the study and summarizes the experience at the workshop.
