A report on the the Tibetan school shake out drill in India
4 April 2009, 104th Anniversary of the 1905 Kangra earthquake:
This document describes a large-scale earthquake drill whose purpose was to help all Tibetan schools to prepare for earthquakes and to prevent natural hazards from becoming disasters in terms of death, suffering and losses. The drill was organized in Tibetan Schools in 4 States of India (Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Meghalaya) to mark the 104th anniversary of the Kangra Earthquake of 1905. This drill also served to keep the memory of the Kangra earthquake alive, so that the lessons are not lost.
