The role-playing game contains a lot of information about the many aspects to consider in evacuation planning. It is a way to get an insight into the process of evacuation and the preparation of an evacuation, without having to read all the information on the subject individually. The roles each bring in a small piece of information. While "playing", all those pieces of information are shared. Furthermore, the playing of this game is a good way to engage students with the subject.
Through this game, players learn how to act in a high stress environment--facing many problems related to an evacuation of chronically ill people etc.. They also learn to develop new solutions. Due to appointed roles, children are showed importance of responsibility and its effect on process of evacuation. This game is regarded as good preparation to discussing disaster preparedness and risk management.
