Oxfam briefing paper 144:
This report briefly evaluates the humanitarian response so far, the continuing crisis, and the challenges that lie ahead. It urges for a momentum to be carried forward to reduce vulnerability and poverty through the provision of disaster resistant housing, significant pro-poor land and agriculture reforms, building good quality basic services that are accessible to men and women alike, and protecting communities from the next shock through comprehensive disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
