Urban disaster management toolkit: an assessment based approach to World Vision's disaster management dimensions

This toolkit was developed in response to the interest of World Vision (WV) to support disaster management in urban areas in line with its Disaster Management 2020 strategy. It is targeted for use by WV staff in national offices to allow them to assess strengths and shortfalls in existing urban disaster management programs and thereby identify action plan agendas across the different stages of disaster management, and also as a planning tool.

The aim of this toolkit is to develop a framework for leading practice in the delivery and management of urban DM projects with particular relevance to Asia and targeted for operations and program staff in WV National Offices. It follows an exploratory method consisting of an assessment-based approach.
