Contingency Planning in Disaster Risk Financing (DRF)
This self-guided course will follow up on the knowledge gained from the pre-request course to build the knowledge on the 1st pillar which is Contingency plan. It is divided into three units to: define contingency plan and its importance, the preparations needed then the process to design it according to Start Ready Building Blocks framework.

The course is for Start Network members and their local partners, in addition to relevant stakeholders e.g. Academic, scientific, and disaster management experts. It is a self-guided and self-paced online course.

The course takes approximately 2.5 hours.  We recommend to first complete the Start Network's other course on Kaya , that will take you through the concept of Disaster Risk Financing and the Start Ready Building Blocks framework.

Will I get a certificate and digital badge at the end?
Yes, you will be able to gain a certificate once you have completed all the modules and completed the post-course quiz. There is an 80% grade to pass and the quiz can be retaken up to three times.
You will also be given the option to gain a digital badge. A digital badge is like a certificate but it can be stored, displayed and shared online. You can create a portfolio of badges on myHPass, a platform dedicated to recognising humanitarians' skills and experience. Find out more about HPass
