Mission

The goal of the partnership is to encourage effective adaptation by serving as an interim platform to catalyze action and foster communication among the various institutions and actors engaged in the effort to scale up adaptation and resilience around the world.?

Disaster Reduction Goal

By reviewing current and planned adaptation activities, planning regional outreach workshops on a range of adaptation subjects, and fostering communities of practice, the Adaptation Partnership seeks to facilitate resilience and effective adaptation actions in a broad range of sectors, including disaster risk reduction.

allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
