The China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences (aka., CPJRC) is scientific research and talent education institution established by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan on the basis of Document of Understanding between Chinese Academy of Sciences and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for the Establishment of China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences.
The research center is hosted by Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMHE, CAS), and is located at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
