The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.

Challenges and rewards in helping Myanmar communities build resilience

In Myanmar's Maubin Township, the Church World Service is helping to build flood resilience by teaching community members about the basics of modern day DRR, first aid, early warning, and search and rescue protocols. Members also learn about group management and activity facilitation, and share their lessons with their communities to promote future DRR projects.
