Mission

The journal Climate Services publishes research with a focus on science-based and user-specific climate information underpinning climate services, ultimately to assist society to adapt to climate change. Climate Services brings science and practice closer together. The journal addresses both researchers in the field of climate service research, and stakeholders and practitioners interested in or already applying climate services. It serves as a means of communication, dialogue and exchange between researchers and stakeholders. Climate services pioneers novel research areas that directly refer to how climate information can be applied in methodologies and tools for adaptation to climate change.

allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.

This paper captures the community-based narratives of flood risk in Lusaka, Zambia. In many African countries, the response to climate change is obstructed by a lack of accessible and usable information, such as localised flood maps.

This study aims to assess farmers' adaptive capacity in two flood-prone districts of South Punjab. Results find that concern for climate change and knowledge of market value of crops were significant determinants for farmers adopting joint strategies.
