Integrated drought management is a critical component of disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation strategies and national water resources policies, bringing together the needs of the different stakeholders affected by drought. In order to address drought issues more effectively, the World Meteorological Organizationand Global Water Partnership launched the Integrated Drought Management Programme (IDMP). The objective of IDMP is to support stakeholders at all levels by providing policy and management guidance and by sharing scientific information knowledge and best practices for Integrated Drought Management.
