Our mission is to introduce and encourage sustainable, resilient, environment- and people-friendly “green” communities in Japan and abroad. We offer integrated solutions toward that goal by combining our group companies’ core competencies, which range from geospatial information engineering, public sector support, clean energy, real estate and brown field rejuvenation, to financing.
Kokusai Kogyo has for decades been providing local governments in Japan with consulting and engineering services related to disaster management, including technical assessment using geospatial and remote sensing information, hazard assessment, planning and system development, and community outreach and training. Internationally, our engineers offer assistance through official development assistance (ODA) projects in disaster management and related fields. We conducted emergency aerial photography and made imagery and computer simulations available for free through our website in response to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami in 2011. We assisted local governments in the following recovery, and are now involved in multiple reconstruction-phase projects, most notably a disaster resilient, energy independent town development project for newly relocated coastal residents.
