This position paper provides some inputs to a symposium aimed at identifying the current gaps and proposals from the view-point of health professionals and to make formatted consultative themes to the successor to the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) through five workshops and plenary discussion. It presents summarized recommendations from world experts in disaster medicine and public health through all phases of disaster and calls for the achievement of the current HFA to be promoted and enhanced in HFA2 by incorporating these recommendations to promote the community health resilience.
