Mission

Advancing military medicine in humanitarian and disaster relief. CDHAM's mission is to provide support to Department of Defense agencies, through education and training, consultation, direct support and scholarly activities, regarding the role of military health care in response to disasters and humanitarian assistance missions.

Disaster Reduction Goal
Enhance the capacity of partner nations to mitigate, prepare for, and respond to disasters, utilizing a whole of society approach. Identify and advocate for the inclusion of urgent medical and public health issues to be included in the post-2015 commitments.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
