ClimateWise is the global insurance industry’s leadership group to drive action on climate change risk.
Our international membership covers Asia, Europe, North America and Southern Africa. ClimateWise is facilitated by the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.
The group leverages the insurance industry’s expertise to better understand, communicate and act on climate risks.
ClimateWise members undertake collaborations to support where action needs to be taken at the industry or system level. Collaborations may involve insurers, other businesses, policy-makers and academics.
ClimateWise members aim to work together, with the public sector, academics and other business sector to respond to and reduce the myriad risks resulting from climate change.

allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
